In 1982, the present nomenclature was adopted in place of ‘Home Management’.

It concentrates on various aspects of Management of resources in the context of Human Ecology and Environment.

It covers areas of Housing & Interior design, Household Equipment, Family Financial Management & Consumer Economics.

 

COURSES & ELIGIBILITY :

You have to be a "GRADUATE" to enter into the Dept. Being a Women's University we admit only "Women"

MASTERS' & POST-MASTERS' DEGREE COURSES

Name of the Course Eligibility Criteria

Masters' with specialization in Family Resource Management

Average 'B' grade or equivalent marks (55%) in the Bachelor's degree with specialization in Family Resource Management / Home Science Graduates / Science Graduates. 

M.PHIL with specialization in Family Resource Management.

Master's degree in Family Resource Management with second class or B grade. Preference given to those in teaching profession.

PH.D in Family Resource Management.

Master's degree in Family Resource Management or a related discipline from a recognized University



POST GRADUATE DIPLOMAS

Computer Aided Interior Space Design

Graduates with Family Resource Management specialization / Govt. recognized Diploma holder in Architecture / Interior Design & Decoration

Consumer Services

Graduates in any discipline

Hotel Hospitality Administration
